GPS....

Well if we are going to start traveling one of these days, I needed to get our GPS device to use. Trouble is it wouldn't stay on the dash, so instead of buying one of those holders I decided to make one, seeing I have a closet full of fabric and surely I can find something to stuff it with...and I did find some florist "mung beans" to use. I thought about using rice and then found the beans..I can eat the rice, but not these beans..(for decorating use only)!

So here it is in use and it turned out pretty good for just usings scraps from around the house.

Now to the next project to get us going...still working on the truck camper..must make some curtains next!

Rainy Thursday

We are getting some much needed rain from what was a tropical distrubance in the gulf.
At least it is cooling down the temperature alittle bit!

36th Anniversary

Spent last evening listing the rest of my tableclothes on Etsy. I love selling on Etsy, but it does
take some work. It is so nice to sell something.

Today is my DH and mine's 36th anniversary...so hard to believe it has been that long....boy time flies...we are celebrating by going to lunch and a movie. The movie is something we don't do very often. We say we are going to go for an "outing", which means a movie and a meal, but some how we just end up staying at home..which isn't a bad thing either...guess we are just not as into it "movie going" as we use to be. I kind of like staying in and watching a movie at home...cheaper and no body around to be loud or bother you!

Home Going

Just back from an emotional week. Last Friday we buried our aunt who we have been taking care of for about a year now. Uncle passed away in March and now she has gone to be with him!

It was hard to say goodbye...but at the same time she was so wanting to "go home".

She will be missed and since there were no children, as someone said at the funeral,"it seems like an era has passed". Virginia was a remarkable person, Navy veteran, Auburn graduate, and retired from the Dept of Treasury! She love genealogy and did a lot of work tracing her family roots and helped others do the same.
